City National Bank Peer Webinar a Success!
Posted on Thu, May 28, 2009
City National Bank, based out of Lawton, OK conducted a peer webinar yesterday on how they use their portal to "Entice, Engage, Enlist; Getting Users to the Portal and Keeping Them There " The presenter, Julie Hedrick, is CNB's portal czaress and a captivating speaker. In June, her portal will have been live for almost a year, yet it already exemplifies an industry best practice. Over 50 people caught this live, but if you weren't one of them here's the key points you missed:
1. Giving employees something fun before using a feature for streamlining business. Satisfying a personal need before the business need will generate the initial interest in the portal.
2. Making it easy for employees to find information. If you don't, they won't look harder and won't come back to find it in the future.
3. Keeping people at your page through visually stimulating items. Use images, flash, and Captivate to make your pages pop.
Thanks again, Julie, for quite the show. Recordings of the webinar are available for interested parties; contact us for your copy. And please sign up for our second consecutive peer webinar at 3pm today, presented by Fort Still National Bank. Ruthy Dailey and Mylinda McClure will be discussing "Bridging the Communication Gap" to save your company from confusion and wasting time. We hope to see you there!
